Testimonials
The Unhurried Living retreat was a perfect balance of rest, relaxation, guided time with God, and learning session content. Three days felt like five, yet I did not feel bored or busy. I left equipped with exercises, notes and materials to prepare me to bring what I learned back to the hustle and bustle of real life. I will definitely repeat this retreat. (Bethany Acuna, Jersey Mike’s Franchisee)
Alan and Gem were both inspirational and practical. I am walking away from my time with them both refreshed by God’s presence and equipped for my next season of ministry. The retreat was the perfect mix of scripture, stories, activities and time alone with God. Alan and Gem skillfully led me into the restful presence of our loving father. (Heather Johnson, Missional Communities Coordinator, Bridgeway Church)
In the course of our gathering, discussions, and unhurried time with God, I have been captured by a new vision of leadership and the joy and delight of work that is the fruit of unhurried communion with God. (Chris DeHaan, Pastor, The Vineyard Christian Community)
Alan and Gem’s Unhurried Living retreats create space: space to learn, space to listen to myself, and space to listen to God. I leave with every space in my heart filled with God’s love. (The Rev. Elizabeth A. Felt, Senior Pastor, Advent Lutheran Church)
A retreat with Alan and Gem is a spacious time, a truly unhurried pace of spending time with God and in community. The invitation to long stretches of solitude is a gift, and their teaching provides just enough structure to make the time alone rich and profitable. (Maria Henderson, Spiritual Director)
